Twas the night before Christmas. Only one more sleep, and the needle on the Clausometer is on the rise in our house…..currently hovering around 10; but I am sure that it will zoom up as we get closer to Santa time. I’m already in my Buddy the Elf costume in an attempt to ratchet up the excitement level, but all I am getting is funny looks from Dudley, who really doesn’t like wearing the reindeer antlers….so embarrassing.
This is just a quick message, to once again thank you for your support throughout 2018, and to wish you a very happy Christmas. There will be no deliveries this week, the next time you will see me will be on the 3rd/4th of January; I will be updating the ‘shop’ next Sunday. The next farmers’ market at Wyken is not until Saturday the 12th. I have the luxury of 2 free Saturdays; I suspect that I will be getting twitchy by the second one.
Many of you now pay for your orders by making online bank transfers; if you haven’t settled up already could you please do so before the affects of the sherry kick in. Thank you.
Right, that’s me done for the year. Don’t squabble over the crappy gifts in the crackers – the yo-yo never works, and I never believe a word that the fortune telling fish says. And remember, don’t get too competitive in the parlour games, it’s just meant to be a bit of fun. If grandma needs a bit more time in Pictionary, just turn the egg timer over for a second time. And don’t worry if you don’t get Park Lane in Monopoly….just don’t land on it if it’s not your hotel sitting on there! Aunty Joyce is not as flexible as that third Gin has made her think she is, so don’t be surprised if there is a little ‘parp’ as she attempts that impossible position on the Twister mat, just don’t be beneath her when she collapses in snorts of laughter. Whatever you are doing, have fun. Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night.
